2007 Accord Starter change Help!
 

Hi everyone,

My car starter died on me, and I decided to swap it out, I've removed the intake manifold to get to the starter, swapped with a Duralast model and when starting the car it makes a loud grinding noise when idle. I thought it was a faulty starter, so I exchanged it for another but same situation. What could this be?

Ive never changed a starter on your model car, but make 100% sure the new starter matches the old starter perfectly. Sometimes starters need shims. these would move the starter closer to or further from the flywheel. Did you happen to leave them out or use them by accident. Did you read the directions? can you youtube it?
