2006 Accord vibrates at 1000 RPM
 

Hi Guys

My 2006 Accord vibrates when the RPM reach 1K nearly.
Either if the car not moving, or when you want to start driving on D or R, when the rpm hits the 1K the steering wheel, console, and seat vibrates.
The vibration goes when the RPM is less than 1K, and also when you pass it!!
ITS ONLY ON THE 1000RPM!
Note that all engine mounts are replaced Genuine Honda parts.
Any Idea? Please HELP :crook:

This is completely NORMAL! My 2007 Accord 4cyl auto has done this since the day I got her with 30k on the odometer. I now have 84k on it and the car only shakes the steering wheel right at 1k on the tach. Which is only when the engine is cold and trying to warm up the catalytic converter quickly to reduce emissions. Hence the reason for the high idle and slight vibrations you may experience.

I've never heard of this, hmm...How much does it shake/rattle?

Its bothering mostly in traffic, when you need to move and stop many times and your moving is slow of course.
When you press the gas pedal and the car starts moving, and when the RPM gets near the 1000 the steering wheel, console, and the seat under you vibrates!
I did many tests:
1-On "N" mode I pressed the gas and on 1000rpm I got the same vibrates but less al little.
2-ON "D" or "R", I pressed the brake and gas pedal in the same time, when it gets to 1000 (or near it) I get these vibrates.
3-I have drove and test a friend of mine 2007 Accord, surprisingly it gave the same results, that's why I thought its normal!, but really annoying.
4-Another friend of mine has the 2008 accord, but couldn't get useful result because his mounts are damaged and the car vibrates so much.

Its a kind of "humming" more than vibrates, (brrrrrrrrrrr) like that :).
These hummms felt also on high way when I hit 100km per hour, when the RPM is around 2200RPM.

What do you think, is it normal and I have to live with it? Or there might be more possible solutions to try.
