My nepehews 04 Accord has been having problems locking ONLY on the driver side door. It only locks manually or with the key turned in the keyhole. It wont lock with the LOCK/UNLOCK Switch or keyless remote. Only locks and unlocks the other doors besides the drivers door. I tried taking it apart today but couldnt figure it out. I couldnt get deep enough where the lock cable runs.

Anyone experienced this before? Where does the lock cable run to?

its either the door lock actuator or the multiplex unit

It's pretty typical for the lock actuators on those cars to taked a dump on you, However they will typically start making a funny noise before they go"but not always"
Sometimes they will lock and unlcok easily with the key and other times it will be VERY HARD to turn the key in the cylinder

I think its the problem with the locks.Do replace them.
