engine codes for rod and main bearings
I have a 2004 ex 3.0 6 speed manual. I have the codes off the block and I have the codes off the crankshaft but no information on the rods (nothing) no numbers no marks whatsoever.
However I am confussed! If the saddals and rods are all the same size why the codes. If an engine has different size rod bearings, then the balance would throw off the geometry and I should get a vibration. The blocks has a code of BBBB the crankshaft has BBAABC and 3234 the rods have nothing and the bearing colors are not readable, Soooooo???? Even the manual says no matter what the color is plasticguage each bearing surface. Soooooo???? not to mention the expense of $11.24 each bearing half $4.17 each rod half and $ 36.00 for each pistion ring set!!! ridiculous!!!
