According to my owners manual, I need a special wrench to remove the oil filter. I contacted a dealer and they don't sell them; does anyone know of this special wrench or where it can be purchased?

The filter is no different than any other car's. You need a pretty small filter wrench, but nothing "special". To remove the filter is easy. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, and it can be removed without lifting the car. Of course, you will have to raise the car to remove the drain bolt. The secret to not having problems removing the filter, is not installing it too tight. Hand tight, is all that's necessary.

Honda does sell a special oil filter socket that fits the filter like a glove, but no it's not needed.
