2004 K24 5MT trans/clutch problem
Hi all, just purchased a 04 accord sedan with the K24 5 speed and I have a major problem and can’t seem to find an exact answer for my question.. The car has 212,XXX miles on the original engine and trans. It was a one owner car when I bought it from a local dealer, bought it as is no warranty or I’d go back to him to fix it. Well here’s where my problem started... I went to take off at a uphill right turn and when I went to release the clutch I felt a sudden jerk/pop and then the car wouldn’t move. Keep in mind I’ve had this car for less than 5 hours and haven’t drove it hard since the minute I purchased it. It was a light launch around 3500k rpm so nothing to crazy and I wasn’t trying to do anything crazy. I still have to push in the clutch to start the car but when I put it in gear and let out of the clutch I get no response. I can see the speedometer start climbing but nothing to the wheels. Even with the clutch out I can put it into every gear including reverse but it will slightly grind with reverse. I did notice my drivers front axle was snapped but I feel that’s just a separate issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Fix your freaking axle and your problem will be solved.

Sorry man seems I **** everyone off with questions.. I wouldn’t even ask but people at home didn’t have experience with FWD cars and they were as clueless as I was. Got a new axle and it’s gettin our in tomorrow.

Gotcha. You can google how a differential works and glean some great insight as to why a broken axle would be the issue.
Are you going to install it yourself?
