2004 Accord difficulty starting
My O4 Accord EX 4 cylinder has started behaving oddly. Your turn the key to start and it turns over and the turnover slows down and it does not start. Occasionally it just clicks and nothing happens. Turn the key again and it may happen again or not. Turn it a third time and it turns over normally and starts. The battery is brand new and tests fine. It is as if it does no recognize the chip in the key or something.

Re: 2004 Accord difficulty starting
We had the very same problem and found out that there was a crack in the manifold which was causing the EGR valve to give problems also. Thanks to my local dealership and Honda.ie they worked it out. This year seems to have this as a common problem and Honda extended the warranty on the Manifold to 7 Years. Check it out and hope this helps
