2003 Honda Accord OBD2 Diagnostic Trouble Code DTC P2000 -Hybrid Battery System Voltage High
Hi All,
I just purchased and 03 Accord from my mom off lease... I accidentally left the windows down overnight last week and of course it rained... I shop vac'ed the seats and carpets to get as much water out as possible. I then let it run for about an hour with the heat on to hopefully dry the car out the rest of the way. Now my check engine light is on and if I use my OBD2 scanner to check the error code, I get only one code, P2000. I looked at the website and the code comes up as the following:
P2000 Honda Hybrid Battery System Voltage High
http://www.canobd2.com/DtcLibrary/
The car isn't a hybrid, so I am not exactly what else to check. If I clear the code, it comes back after driving for an hour or so. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else the code could be? Is it possible to have over charged the battery by letting the car idle for so long? Could the battery be bad? It is the original battery and the car has 30K miles on it.
Any advice would be great!!
Thanks in advance.
