2003 Honda Accord 4cyl 100k maintenance?
Have a Honda Accord 4cyl coupe that is closing in on 100k miles. What do you recommend that I change and do. Is there anything that would require special tools?
Thanks

If you take it to the shop or looking the manual, prepare to hand over a good chunk of cash for all the recommended replacements.
If you want to risk it, just fix things as they break, you'll be surprised how long it lasts.

That's fine for things like spark plugs and brake pads but you don't want to wait for timing belt to go bad .

lets see...spark plugs ( possible wires depending on wear and tear ) look at the distriputor..check all fluid levels..check all belts..if you havent changed timing belt..DO IT..air filter ( check air intake arm for possible cracks ) ..rotate all tires ( balance and alingment ) check and replace brake pads...

Its a chain, no timing belt to change on the 4 bangers. Just follow your owners manual as suggested for 100k maintenance. Pretty close to time for plugs. Thats about it.The big question is what about the water pump on the k? It says nothing in the manual. Would be nice to have a tech chime in here. Don't want to wait for failure.

I would inspect water pump at 100k , if no play in pulley or seepage and fluids clean (no rust or anything in antifreeze ) your ok but once past 125-150k I would probably change it even though it may last bit longer maybe .
