Please help. I have read a lot of info regarding this problem but at a standstill. Daughter just bought this used 2003 Honda Accord EX. She drove it for a day and parked it in drive way. She got back in after a while and it wouldn't come out of park. I have checked to make sure the brake lights work, they do. I checked the interlock solenoid and it is disengaging when the brake is pushed in. I tried pushing in the over-ride button and it still won't come out of park. I checked the fuse in 21, 7.5 amp, its good. I even tried rocking the car but still can't get it out of park. Please help.

If the button on the shifter is broken, it won't work. Remove the screws on the shifter shaft and remove the ****. Try using the shifter by pressing the plunger down with your thumb. If it works, take the **** apart and replace the button.
