2003 Accord SRS light
I have an SRS code that flashes 1 long and 2 short. 1-2 which is "Increased resistance in Drivers side air bag first inflator" the Honda manual uses the factory inflator simulator tool to determine if it is the cable reel of the air bag, how can I troubleshoot this at home? Can I SAFELY take resistance readings at the cable reel with the airbag disconnected? I have reset the code but it comes back immediately. I think the cable reel is most likely, but would rather not spend the money if it is the air bag itself. And where is the best place to buy replacement parts?
I am sure there is a good DIY way to do this.
