Despite my best efforts to search the forum for an answer, i cant seem to find anything related to my problem. I own an 03 I4 AT sedan and not too long after i bought her the radio light went out and will come on occasionally but at a very very low brightness. My CD player also quit a coupe weeks before the back light did as well. Now I've read this is a common problem for this particular model but i havent found anything to fix it other than a 500 dollar trip to a dealership and thats not gonna happen for a backlight. Im not so concerned about the CD player as i am for the light itself because its consequently attached to my climate control settings. If anyone has info on this problem it'd be greatly appreciated.

Even if you are beyond the extended warranty period, I would still contact them and ask for some good will.

Does anyone know if the replacement Honda gives you "fixes" the problem, or do they simply replace the same faulty hardware they sold with the car?

My back light was fixed five or six years ago, and the replacement curcuit board is still working fine. I don't think it's the same faulty board.
