2003 Accord EX sedan - power lock problem
We have a 2003 Accord EX with about 140k miles. The power door locks are not working correctly.
The driver door will lock and unlock as it should. The other three doors will lock correctly, but will not unlock. We get the same results if we use the key fob or the lock/unlock switch on the doors.
I've seen some people suggest replacing the driver door lock actuator. That doesn't seem like the right thing in my case, as the driver door lock works fine. Or does it have more control over the other three doors than I would think?
I've seen other posts that suggest it might be a problem with the MICU.
I've been looking up various pats so that I could figure out how much money we might be looking at to fix. The actuators are very reasonable. However, I can't figure out exactly which part the MICU is.
I looked HERE. Is it part 3, that is $586.11 or is it included in the entire fuse box assembly (part 7)?
Any suggestions?

Re: 2003 Accord EX sedan - power lock problem
go-part,
Thanks for the post - just saw it! I have disconnected the batteries before, thinking that would take care of resetting it. However, I had not connected the positive and negative ends together for 10+ minutes (thanks for the note that says how to do it). I will try that.
After I posted my question, I ended up taking the car to a local independent mechanic who specializes in imports. He spent quite a bit of time with the car. He tested two of the door actuators to make sure they worked, and they did. He finally said he thought replacing the MICU would take care of the problem, but he said he wasn't 100% sure. And he wasn't sure if he'd have to get Honda to reprogram it after installation. Because he wasn't sure this would fix it, I held off.
First thing, I will try out your suggestion tonight. If that does not work, I will think about getting the MICU. Looking at the link you provided, it seems there is no programming that would be needed after installing it.
I found instructions on how to replace the MICU you on a V6 coupe HERE. Is it the same (or very similar) procedure for the 4 cylinder sedan?
Thanks again.
