08 Acord Coupe Shift Boot
Hello All.
Ive never posted in this section before but my GF got a 08 Accord V6 6-Speed coupe 2 years ago when it first came out and I decided it needed somethin in the interior. I gave her my old FD2 type r shift **** but since the shift boot has those lock tabs for the OEM **** I decided to buy her a new boot.
I know there is very little support for these cars so i figured i would post up what i ran into and how i solved it.
I Bought her a red stitched shift boot from shift style..(http://shiftstyle.com/)
The boot came in and looked great, except the boot didnt come with any kind of collar, just loose leather up top.
Well here is where my fab/lathe work started. I have a full size machine shop in my garage so I grabbed some 3/4" round black plastic stock and went to work.
I notched the top of the collar so the zip tie holding the boot wouldnt slide off.
Here are some great directions on pulling the interior panels off to access the bottom of the boot.

Here is the finished product all back together.
I just have to pull the one showing side of the boot in a little bit to hide where the red stitching ends...but all in all i think it looks awesome
what do you think?
