Murphy's Law strikes again, my wifes 07 accord got rear ended last night and the woman that hit her has no insurance(not that it's relevant to this question), damage to the car looks to be pretty insignificant, the two bolts on either side of the trunk that hold the rear valance on seem to have been racked, the insert that covers the bolt on the passenger side won't go back on due to the mount getting ripped away from the valance, I'm wondering if the hit was hard enough to activate the rear crumple zone, is there an indicator or something, can the rear crumple zone work and the body still be pretty much intact?? I think it needs to go to the dealer but her schedule makes it pretty difficult...so I'm wondering if there's someway I can save her the trip or actually confirm that she needs to take it in, she's a stickler about her car so I'm surprised she's dragging her feet about taking it to the dealer.
