Default 05 accord 4 cyl mt

Hello, I need an advise on my accord

I recently bought a 05 accord 4 cyl mt with ~88k miles on it. It was working perfectly for over 6k miles and today It started to have issues. Check engine light came on and unfortunately I can't scan the code till tomorrow and I am too worried. Right after CEL came on the accord started to lose power after about 2800 rpms. It it perfectly fine until it reaches 2800 rpms then seems like it kicks out of the gear and loses power. What can it be? Oil changed about 1200 miles ago. Thanks

Its running limp mode. So its running whats called a "soft" rev limiter in order to prevent any damage. Just drive it easy and get it scanned . Post up what they said

It may be your vtec solenoid though, Mine went out around that time .

P2647 stands for VTEC oil pressure switch circuit high voltage. That can mean that the VTEC oil pressure switch is unplugged on not plugged in all the way. There is a service news article Honda put out that said if this code comes up and the obvious stuff is checked (it's plugged in, no wire damage) then replace the VTEC oil pressure switch (P/N 37250-PNE-G01) and that should fix the problem.
