Need some help with this one. A/C will run great(very cold) until you turn the fan down a couple of levels or the A/C reaches comfortable temp and the system cyles down. It then feels/smells humid and starts to blow warm air. Once the cabin worms up or you turn the system off for a few minutes and back on it will start to blow very cold again. Had the system checked, freon is fine and no diag codes. I am wondering if there is some type of thermostat in the cabin/dash that may be going out and turn/cycles the system off???
Dealer in my town has bad rep and I am avoiding it. Any help would be great!

The A/C would blow cold for a few minutes, then stop, in my 03 exv6. The compressor clutch and stator/coil were changed. I had checked the clutch clearance, and it was more than spec, so I think the excess clearance caused the clutch to go out. It cost me $600 at the dealership.
