I would check the spark plugs to see if any are loose or damaged first, mainly because that will not cost anything. Try to find out what error codes the computer has stored, know anyone with a scanner/code reader? Maybe one of the auto parts stores will lend one out to you. If the check engine light was flashing, there should be some codes stored.

The wires are probably melted, and shorting together, so it will probably keep blowing the fuse. You have bigger problems than I can solve, sorry. You will probably need a new wiring harness, and a new coil to say the least, but you need to find out why the wires melted, before just plugging another harness in. Hard to believe there are no codes?

I'm sure some shops would just splice the wires, but you still need to know what happened to cause it. Maybe it was the coil, maybe not.
