Default 03 Power Seat movement when braking

The power passenger seat on my 03 EX V6 moves slightly when braking. I don't see anything in the Service Manual that explains how to fix this. Any ideas?

How much movement would you say? A small amount of play is caused by the power seat track but it should not be extremely noticeable. If you have a honda manual look in the body section and look at the seat disassemble some seats have bushings that can wear. In extreme cases ive seen the actual seat track break which would require an expensive seat track

Thanks, hopefully mine has bushings, because the seat tracks are like $250.00. The seat doesn't move a lot, or all the time, so I was hoping it was a simple adjustment. Oh well, I guess I'll check for bushings (I do have a service manual).

The helms service manual doesn't have any details of the seat track, so I guess I would have to investigate the seat itself. Not today.

Anybody ever find a fix for this?

I just bought a 2004 accord EXV6 that does this on both seats (probably about a 1/4 inch of play in a forward and back motion). Love the car, except for this annoying little problem. I went to the dealer that I purchased the car from and their mechanics said this was normal for Honda power seats. I'm having a hard time accepting the seats rocking back and forth as "normal".

I would be willing to pay $250 for a power seat track if it fixed the problem. But if this is normal, it would probably still do it.

when i used to work for honda they had a service bulletin that the bushings went bad on it...symtoms were that the seat rocked a tad not like a rocking chair but was noticable...parts were white plastic bushings and you had to remove the seat and track to install the bushings...not sure if this applies to ur issue but i hope it helps...go to honda and ask them for the bulletin and it has the instructions and parts numbers on how to fix it.....good luck!

my drivers seat moves barely enough to feel it. according to my dealer it's not enough to warrant doing anything. I tend to agree. normal movement on a 6 year old car. mine's nowhere near 1/4 inch. if it was, they'd be fixing it. (It's still certified).

I have the same problem on my 2004 Accord EX. If you move the seat back in small increments you will find a spot where this movement does not take place. It is a seat trac problem and you need to find a flat spot on the trac. This is what a tech at Honda told me. It is a problem with some Accords and it is a well known problem.

I have manual seats and it does the same thing on my 03 accord. is it cheaper to fix this problem than compared to power seats?
