Default 03 EX TCS light coming on

So, the other day my TCS light came on, and TCS is no longer working. It resets every time I restart the car. I noticed that the brake light on the gauge cluster is staying on.

I read that the brake light switch down by the pedal could be the culprit. Is that the case? Does anyone have the part number for it?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Its either the switch or the ABS module-I don't have the part #'s, but hopefully it's the switch because I know th ABS module is around $1000.00 just for the part. My dealer replaced mine under my certified warranty, and it ended up being the ABS module.

ABS is still working, so hopefully it isn't that...although i'm not sure if that would even make a difference. Thank you for your help

if it's the ABS module, then wouldn't the ABS light come on like other cars with the same problem??

All I know is that replacing the ABS module fixed the problem after replcaing the brake switch didn't, and I didn't pay for it. I have no idea how it works or how the ABS and TCS lights are related. My ABS light never came on, only the TCS light. I guess only the part that controls the TCS withing the module was bad, not the ABS part.

Brake light with a TCS light intermittently can be caused by a faulty level float in the brake master cylinder. Bad news is that it is a part of the master cylinder. Good news is it's a lot cheaper than an ABS unit.

The first time we saw a car with this it really threw one of my techs for a loop.
