03 Accord I4 SRS Light / Heated Seats
Hey gents,
Okay, I've had this other issue with my 03 Accord for a few months now, just want to know your ideas.
The SRS light intermittently comes on. My understanding is the SRS light isn't the old-style yellow "SRS" that lights up, it's now a red icon that looks like the profile of a person in a seat with a red circle next to the head. That's the light that comes on.
As some background -- I had an 01 Civic that one day, the SRS light came on. It never went off in that case, and it was found to be a faulty driver's belt buckle, the sensor was bad in the buckle itself at the side of the seat.
My SRS light doesn't stay on all the time, and it seems to be triggered by the driver's belt buckle. If I start the car without my seat belt buckled(I generally buckle myself in after starting the car), sometimes the SRS light will come on and it won't go off unless I restart the car. If I unbuckle myself while the car is on, like I do when getting out to get the mail, sometimes it will come on.
It is literally 50/50 in each scenario.
My best guess, since it doesn't do this when any passenger does similar actions, is that the driver's belt buckle has a bad sensor. Any thoughts?
My other question was regarding the heated seats. They seem to, ahem, not be very good. When on high, they will get nice and toasty for, oh, 5-10 minutes, and then the coils shut off for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Kinda makes them somewhat useless.
Is there anything I can do to make it stop this and stay on all the time? I wanted a car with heated seats because for one, I live in Montana, it gets a bit nipply here, and also I own a business and do business in Ohio, driving back and forth, and I have some back and neck issues, so this kinda makes the reason for the heated seats a bit null.
Thanks for any and all help gents!

No need to be rude and shout. Kind of hard to recommend anything without knowing what code it's throwing. Driver's buckle switch is certainly a possibility though.
As far as the heated seats that is how they are supposed to work on high. If you picked up your owner's manual there is an explanation of how it works and a recomendation that you do not leave them on high all the time.

Follow these precautions whenever
you use the seat heaters:
Use the HI setting only to heat the
seats quickly. Select the LO
setting when the seats feel warm.
The HI setting draws large
amounts of current from the

Do not use the seat heaters, even
on the LO setting, if the engine is
left idling for an extended period.
