Default 03 Accord EX I-4 AT P0122 Problem

I bought this car recently and found that the TPS connector had been disconnected on purpose to make the car run poorly so another person could buy it cheap. Well, after I re-connected it and cancelled the code it (the code P0122) came back and will not allow the car to shift into the next gear very well and shutters when you hit the gas. I can get it up to about 60 mph and thats it. Now, I have been told that this code means to basically replace the throttle body unit because the TPS is not working correctly. I have been told you can't just replace the TPS switch, plus it is riveted on.

Since the connector to it was originally unhooked and ran for a while does the computer need to be relearned/reflashed in order for this car to run correctly and there is no problem with the TPS? Or did I already do that by using my code reader to erase the codes and it will indeed need the throttle body assy. because the TPS code keeps coming back?

Thanks in advance.

OK, so I guess I am lucky because I have another 03 Accord EX with a 4 cylinder in it. I swapped the Throttle body and drove the car again. At first it acted fine, then went to the same thing again - bogging down when I hit the gas, not shifting into the next gear. Then I switched it back to the original car and it ran fine. So, I know it is not the throttle body or TPS. Why would the code P0122 stay on if the throttle body and tps is fine?
Again - Do i need to reflash this computer?

Well after changing out the throttle body with the TPS from another working car same year, I drove it and some new codes came up. P2646 was the one that I worked with. This is very easy to fix. Take off the entire piece that is on the rear of the motor/cylinder head towards the passengers side of the car. This peice has the VTEC Solenoid and VTEC oil pressure switch located on it. I took it aprt and cleaned the screen that was very clogged up with old oil and other crap. Once I did this I put it back together and cleared the code, another drive but further this time, then the codes comes on again. Replace the VTEC oil pressure switch P/N 37250-pne-g01 $50.00 and now it works perfect. No more TPS problems and all because the solenoid was clogged up and switch was bad.
