$100 to Whoever solves my problem via paypal!!
I have a 2003 Accord V6 Coupe 6spd and it won't idle!!!
Once I start it, it runs normally then once I touch the gas it will shut off.
I can drive/shift it normally as long as I don't let off the gas.
I had the shop replace my exhaust rocker on the rear head because they broke when I miss-shifted.
There's no engine check light.
What could be wrong guys?!?!?

I would recommend a compression test to make sure the engine is healthy, other than that could it have anything to do with the drive by wire?

I've done a compression test and had a Honda tech reprogram the drive by wire as well.
Thanks.
Thanks.

air mass sensor, throttle body position sensor and slip contact of electric throttle body engine.
Ceck also if no cable damaged near ecu throttle body and gas pedal.
Are u data logging some ecu errors?

+1 on the air mass flow sensor! the one on the intake arm... paypal to..... j/k GL!
any MIL codes?
run the car then unpug the air mass sensor. the car should run rough and die after that..but if it doesnt and runs the same as you say it does then it can be a faulty air mass flow sensor.

I was going to suggest the idle air control valve, but I wasn't sure if the newer Accords have them...just because this is exactly what happened to my engine when I removed/cleaned/re-installed my IACV.
Seems as though Pleiadi79 likely has the right answer though...hopefully!

Man do not worry for $$$$ not necessary....
Big thanks however. Just remember to check engine posizion sensor water temp sensors.
If wtr temp sensors are faulty they can send a wrond data to ecu that will modify also ur air/fuel ratio.
u can also try to unplug the connector on electric engine motor. Car should switch off or boggin.
Remember to check the connecto under ur gas pedal by moving it. Listen at engine if something changes....

Thanks guys I'm gonna try all of those things you mentioned.
Where's the IACV??
And the valves were set properly before started.

I would think it is directly related to throttle position or Idle air control. How is that you can move the car if it shuts down as soon as you touch the gas?

Sorry for not being clear.
If I start it then it'll run. But once I tap the gas it'll shut off.
but I can drive it if I keep my foot on the gas.

So just a quick tap on the pedal and it will shut off, but if you exceed that point it will come off of idle? I'm thinking for sure its a sensor related to throttle position or pedal postion.
Could it be a vacuum leak? They had to remove intake manifold and other items for access to the valve train so that may be an issue too.

if its a vacuum leak it would idle higher but it wouldnt shut off.can you rev the motor?it could be a bad ecu.find somebody with the same car who can let you borrow their ecu.

I believe vacuum leaks can cause multiple issues that would include good idle and poor accelleration under load or poor idle and good accelleration under load. ??? You may be right that it isn't vacuum leak because it would have actual running issues, huh? That would point to position sensor of some sort. If it was EGR or clogged cat then the car wouldn't run very well at all.

but if I drive it and keep my foot on the gas it'll drive like normal. Power is normal too.
Doesn't feel slow or anything.
We've had the drive by wire system checked.
No vacuum leaks either from what we could see. I don't think it would shut off if there was though.
