Shuddered for a bit and then started. Then all the check engine lights came on. 6, I think. Took it to the dealership and they popped the hood and saw that a rat must have gotten inside and chewed through these wires. Is this something I can fix myself or should I go through my insurance and have the dealer do it? Is it a simple fix? They’re quoting me about $5k from what they can see, without insurance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Rat problems
We see this all the time working at a dealership. If you can find a pigtail its a easy fix. Most vehicles I've delt with that has rodents damages has went through their insurance to get it fixed. Honda does not recommend fixing/splicing wiring instead just replace the harness.
