Honda Accord 2013 - Is 5w 20 synthetic oil fine?

Hi. I just noticed the Wal-Mart I went to used Castro 5w20 synthetic oil on my car. Will that be fine?

I've started to read elsewhere that an Accord 2013 needs 0w20.

I don't know the difference.

It will be fine. Your mpg will be a little worse but you will not notice it. Next time do your own oil change and get the 0w20.

Yea you'll be fine with with 5w-20. Did they have Pennzoil platinum? Pennzoil is legit.

That's the problem with many oil places, bait and switch. If you tell them...wait, that's not the right oil. Then the cost of the oil change is $79.

Many years ago, I had to argue with guy on this. Three guys had to talk to me. When I wanted to leave, they end up using that the oil that the price said, and made it clear it was not manufacture spec.

I really should have just left because it should not be that difficult. I too DIY (now). It was a Toyota 1.8L. Nothing special really. There are like 3 million of them in the state.

They will always use the other oil so they can upsale to what you suppose to use. 0-20 is no longer anything special now. It's mainstream.
