Flashing CEL 2015 Honda Accord

I have a 2015 Honda Accord. Coming home today the CEL began flashing, the car lost power, from stop to 20 mph it really struggled, I was only a couple of miles from home, after 40 mph things seemed to level out somewhat, so I limped it on in. Any ideas? Also...a bit of a crow...why in the world do vehicles not display the codes from the check engine light? I understand why they didn't in 1985. Today we have cars with touch screen monitors connected to satellites in space to hear radio and give us real time turn by turn driving instructions...but...we can't seem to get the information stored three feet in front of the driver without additional tools? Just kinda seems a bit off.

Your going to need a scan tool for the codes. If you have a local parts place such as Autozone they will read the codes for free. Scan tools are fairly cheep now at Amazon or Harbor Freight.

May need to take it to a dealer for more in-depth troubleshooting.

Re: Flashing CEL 2015 Honda Accord

Thanks. I have called a tow truck to take it into the dealer. I was afraid to drive it the roughly 20 minutes to the local parts store. I figured I would wager the tow bill would be less than more possible damage to the vehicle. I was just curious if anyone had a similar experience.
