Engine Splash guard compatibility for 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid
Hello all, I made an unpleasant and expensive to repair discovery while attempting to perform 1st diy oil change. I took the car for an oil change at the local Jiffy Lube and had a pleasant experience with the customer service clerk. I had no reason to suspect something was awry with the vehicle, that is until I slid under the car to drain the oil. The metal shield was missing! Not only that, the tech didn't install a washer on the drain bolt. Luckily the car didn't develop a leak because he/she torqued the bolt pretty tight, I had a hard time breaking it free. I called the shop and their response was since I didn't come in for the 3000 mile oil change, my warranty expired and they weren't responsible for replacing the cover. I filed a complaint with BBC and Jiffy Corporate but I don't hold much faith I will get resolution. In the meantime, I need to replace this cover. The part number is 74110T3VA00. It's pretty expensive at $240.00 and it contains parts I don't need. I just need the metal cover. I am going to hit the junkyard and see if I can find one intact. My question is does any know what model and year range is compatible with my car? Maybe I can take one off a regular accord? Thanks.
