2016 Accord Tachnometer Not Working
Does anybody know how the 2016 accord derives the tach reading?
Which sensor could it be using? The engine works, but the tach gauge does not move. I don't have a scanner to check, but I assume the ECU knows the engine RPM if it's able to run?? I would be guessing the Torque Converter Turbine Speed Sensor might be the one that is used for the gauge? It's sharing a common wire with the Engine Temp Sensor 1, and both Tach+Temp are not working on the cluster. Also seems by not having temp sensor working, then the coolant thermostat never opens? Is the thermostat/flow of coolant ECU controlled on this car? |

You have a 3 year/36,000 mile basic, 5 yr/60,000 warranty. Take it to the dealer.

I'll figure it out, going to check wiring diagrams soon. |
