2014 Accord Oil consumption
Has anyone experienced the oil consumption issue with the 2014 Sedan EX? Was told by my mechanic that 4 months after oil change at 36K miles dipstick was dry and needed to be topped off with a quart and a half. Took to dealership and they replaced oil and instructed me to return after 1000 miles if oil runs low.
Doesn't this indicate wearing or failure of piston rings and if so shouldn't Honda replace? I have warranty until 2021, afraid that they will not fix it and just say 1 quart every 1000K is standard. My mechanic said that should never be standard in a car with that low mileage.
Thanks.

Re: 2014 Accord Oil consumption
We have cars come in with oil consumptions problems, but we do a consumption test, and mark the oil dipstick, have them come back 1k miles . We have the customers come back maybe 2-3 times to verify.
