2015 Honda Accord Rasp
I have a 2015 Honda Accord Sport (i4 6MT) and I get a really bad rasp at around 4k rpms. It is when I am >50 throttle accelerating (mainly in 2nd gear but also a little in 1st and 3rd as well) and also when I am coasting down from > 4.5k rpms, through the 3.8k-4.5k range or so.
My exhaust setup is as follows:
Stock Down pipe (includes 1st cat), Stock 2nd Cat, 2.25 inch Vibrant Bottle Style Resonator, stock piping, y pipe, muffler deletes with 2.25 in piping, stock tips welded back on.
I am wondering how I can kill this rasp without making the overall sound of the car quieter. I like the volume at idle and through the rest of the rev range, but the rasp is too much. I am NOT trying to dump a ton of money to kill this rasp, so buying a catback or other type of system is not an option for me. And I don't want to hear about how I should've kept it stock.
I could also try to take a video of it if it would help.
Any help is appreciated!
