Wondering About accord Coupe 98-02

I was wondering if anyone here could give me some detail about the pros and cons of a 98-02 accord coupe 4 cylinder.
I was hoping to get a 98 white coupe 5 speed,
and add some gunmetal 17" rims, intake/headers/exaust

Can anyone give me the details on a coupe with those mods 0-60 or 1/4 miles times?

also, trying to find some pics of a white coupe with gunmetal rims. Im imaganing it to look real nice.
thanks

It wont be ultra fast with a 4 cyl and bolt on's, it'll look nice though. If ya cant go fast, at least look nice. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

If you can afford it go with a turbo kit. One thing about the 6th gens is they have the room in the engine bay for a snail. And white with GM rims would look good, or something with a black center w/polished lip.

heck yeah, do it. I bought my 99 coupe 2 years ago. So far I've throw 18" wheels on, DC sports headers and twin canister cat back system-sounds great, nice deep tone, not that high pitched loud crap. I've replaced the headlight with black housing units, brighter bulbs, carbon 3-piece taillights, reverse glow gauges, sweet sound system, splash gaurds, bra-for winter here in CO, and custom fabed a chrome grille onto it-kinda looks like the 99ish CL's. unfortunatley some parts are hard to find or get, i ordered the AEM v2 air intake in december, only to find out thats it not available for a couple of more weeks. I also order a hi-flow cat from landspeedracing, should be here soon-they had to make it. apexi makes nice controllers for it like an safc or vafc I orII, however, i bought the vafcII and found out that i cannot use the vtec aspect of the controller, so instead i only use the air/fuel adjustsments-makes a hell of a difference. If i had a scanner i'd post pics of it, and this summer-once i get all my parts, its going on a dyno. so yeah, buy one and have fun https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

sounds really good erich.
if i get a stick,
and install intake, exaust, any maybe some headers.. what would the 1/4 miles times be around? how about 0-60 times?

does installing i/h/e affect ANYTHING with the reliability of the car?

how would a white accord coupe, with 17" gunmetal rims, and black house lights look? i cant find a pic of it online anywhere.
ANd those reverse glow gauges, they look sweet. But does it drain battery, and r they easy to install?

With a 6th gen accord, 5-speed, bolt ons, decent tires, weight reduction, and a decent driver you MIGHT pull of a high 15 second pass in the quarter mile. Most probably you will have a mid 16 second car so don't hope for anything neck-snapping. As for your cosmetic Ideas I think everything should look great https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Enjoy your accord

so with those mods, about a mid 16 1/4 mile. What does that convert to the 0-60 times.

would a civic SI stock be faster?

I have a 99 coupe, but I got the v6....

its cushy as hell, but its fat like your mamma.....

feel like it needs about 500 pounds shaved (GWVR of 4000lbs or so)....so it needs some stiffer suspension and bigger brakes (or atleast better pads)....

check out http://www.v6performance.net

pretty good resource for accords, even 4 bangers.....

baseer 02-08-2004 07:37 PM

would wats better to get

accord 5 speed
accord v6

baseer 02-08-2004 07:48 PM
