Default f22b1 in 6th gen

ok first off many of u would ask WHY, reason is my buddy had a 96 accord and crashed it now i found a clean *** 99 accord shell so i want to know if i can swap out the motor and tranny into the 6th gen. Any input is appreciated

BTW im new to the accord scene

i get the sense your buddy is trying to pinch pennies here. it's certainly possible but i wouldn't expect it to cost the same as a direct swap into a 5th gen shell. the wiring may be a challenge and though the mounts are probably similar, you may end up having to get creative and buy a mount here and there to get it in.

what i would do: to me that motor isn't really worth saving for a transplant. if i couldn't find a good 5th gen chassis for it, i would sell it for what i could along with anything else that's still good on the car, take my little wad of cash and some savings and buy another complete, running car.
