Default want a light bulb that gives better visibility at night.. any suggestions

ya i have an em2 but a buddy of mine has an 01' accord coupe. one of his headlights is out and we are going to replace them. he wants something that is brighter and will give him greater visibility driving at night. he just wants to know what kind of bulbs any of you are running in stock head lights. he doent wanna go projection or hid. would anything like sylvania silverstar ultra bulbs be acceptable or not?

any info would be appreciated

I bought a set of ghetto "JDM" hyper-whites from a small tuner shop...they were a bit brighter than stock. Only $10, so it was cheap.

But make sure your headlights are clean and clear. If the housing looks foggy and yellow, use some metal polish or rubbing compound and clean them up. You'll be surprised how much of a difference cleaning them will make.

silverstars would be a good choice, you can buy them pretty much anywhere and they're a good quality bulb.

Halogens just suck! I would spend all my money on HID, plus they last really long.

Anyways back to the subject, I really love my PIAA's before. Nice and bright and white. Very nice. I'm pretty satisfied with my current Luminics. I also heard great things about Silverstars, but never tried them....

Ive had bulbs from ebay for my previous car, which had stock HIDS, and they sucked, they went out around 6 months, that was 125 set, then i bought a 250 set, they went the same way, so i dunno bout these cheap HID kits, remember u get what u pay for. Get those silverstars, ive heard good things about them too. I might do the same for my car soon too.

PIAA honestly make a bright light.

The $100 ish HID pnp kits are garbage and you'll blind everything in front of you.

Silverstars are decent, but I've always thought they put out less light.

Just personal experience haha

for PIAA's. I run Extreme white for both my High's and low's.

If your going to go the HID route make sure you get a set from a reputable company and spend some money. Don't get some cheap knock-off Egay garbage.

I had silverstars in my car as well, and they were a great. But for some reason the driver side light kept on burning out after about 3 months. I think it has something to do with the headlight rather than the bulb because the passenger side never went out. Great bulb though
