Yes both fans come on. No I did not use an aftermarket thermostat it is OME. The aftermarket is the temperature switch. This thing allows me to control what temperature the fans turn on. It is pretty cool. But you have to be careful because if you have it set wrong you can drain your battery.

I am ready to just take it to the shop because my wife is pregnant and I want her to be comfortable driving. My car doesnt have a/c either but for a better reason. I have a rex with a zc and I completely removed the a/c.

Check your Radiator, I had very similar problem everything component checked out OK and the system seemed to function correctly and yet it was overheating. When I removed one of the fans I notices that most of the fins on the radiator were bad or read to fall out. With the fan the radiator looked good. Give it a shot, it takes 15 min to take one of the fans out

The radiator is brand new. like I said I replaced the whole cooling system and this is why i am baffeled. Maybe my a/c cluth is going out or something. IDK. I want to drop an h22 in there when it finally blows up.
