tranny making car shake?
Hey there I got an 87 Accord LX with 124,000 miles on it. When I start the car and shift from the "P" for park to "R" reverse or "D" drive the car rocks back and forth once and makes a little bump sound. It does this when I change slowly. When I'm driving around and the car shifts (it's an automatic) from the different gears it doesn't have any problems. Is this normal, should I worry?
Thanks for your feedback, I know that this is one of those really boring threads but thanks for your time.

No I haven't checked my motor mounts. Are they called what they really are? Are they hard to check or do I need some auto mechanic to do it?
By the way you got a sweett little red ride. You tell those people with their new Mercedes to stick their car's up their butt's.

thats your motor mounts. to check put the car in gear or reverse and have someone look at the tranny. if it is the motor mount the whole tranny will shake. you wore out the rubber on the tranny mount.

Ok good so I don't have to get it fixed tomorrow.
I got another question a little off the topic. I have seen people in LA with old hondas and they have the really cheap window tints, the kind that you buy at autozone and you put it on yourself. They have like a million bubbles on them. Are these people just too lazy or are the cheap window tints really ok?
-Thanks
