timing changes rpm needle bounces
I have a 92 accord. Afew months ago changed the hed gasket and timing belt along with new plugs wires igniter coil cap and rotor.
I set the timing.
Now the timing was off and the RPM needle bounces all over
Reset the timing and the RPM still bounces.
It seems like with the timing light that it skips firing now and then.
WHat could be the problem?
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

Re: timing changes rpm needle bounces
Possible DTBS (dirty throttle body syndrome)
Take off the intake tubing and spray perferably throttle body cleaner in the TB and brush it with a tooth brush (not your spouses). You could also use carb or brake cleaner in my opinion..but TB is the safest. This helps a lot of the time when the RPMs are hunting, ususally at idle.
