TCC erratic
Last night I was driving the car home and the TCC engaged normally at about 55 mph. Once I set cruise, the TCC started disengaging and reengaging repeatedly for no good reason. It did it about three or four times and then was fine after that. This morning it did it again, but only did it once this time. Any thoughts on what would cause this kind of behavior?

Re: TCC erratic
The tachometer drops down when it engages, as is the normal behavior. But after a minute or so the needle will jump up, stay there for a few seconds, then drop back down again. As it happens the car also jerks slightly, which is how I know it's the TCC engaging and disengaging. The movement is abrupt and not gradual like during engine acceleration. Also, I've noticed it only seems to happen when it's cold, either after it has sat overnight or even after being parked for a couple of hours.

But you know your car and may be right, gonna need a decent scan tool(possibly a scope) for the most reliable and accurate assessment
Sorry , there are no pattern failures to this problem that I am aware of.
