Re: steering wheel not straight
take off the covers on each side of the wheel. should be two t30 torx bolts holding the airbag on. then a 19mm nut holding it onto the column. then it should pop right off. when i say pop itll take a good whack to get it off...or two.

disconnect the battery and wait a bit first or your face will get owned by the airbag if/when you disconnect it from its power source.

Did this just happen recently or is it always been like this? Check the basic with the air pressure in the tires first.
And if it's almost time to change new tires, then get an alignment at that time too. When you do your alignment, ask to look under the car as some alignment place just plain don't care about full inspecting before alignment, they don't check for torn boots on the steering assembly.
Don't get stuck with geting an alignment then find out that your tie rod ends boots are busted or something. Check your steering assembly for free play. This happens to me after an alignment, I found out that my tie rod end boots are busted but the joint seems to be working well with no free play and the steering is center.

Re: steering wheel not straight
I just got done installing new inner tie rods and didn't get the steering wheel aligned straight before aligning the wheels(driveway alignment) and am getting the alignment shop to straighten the steering wheel while aligning it. I wouldn't try and take the wheel off to straighten it. I am guessing that your rack isn't set properly and you have more turn one direction than the other. You can straighten it in the driveway but it requires a bit of patience.
