I always use a 3/4in. breaker bar for the spindle nut. Comes off like butter. If you are using a 1/2 breaker chances are it will break. I have broken 4 in one day because I couldnt find my 3/4. Finally I found after 4 hours. Luckily I replaced my breaker bar. But yeah 3/4 is your best bet. never fails.

Well personal opinion if you plan on workin gon your car it is always a good idea to keep that 36 around its weel worth it. Like I said before dude try the 3/4 inch just buy a breaker bar and socket for like 45 or 50 bucks at sears craftsman. You know how those are you get what you pay for. Dont kill yourself when you can do it right and easy man. Make sure when you go to loosen it though that the wheel is touching the ground still. I am pretty sure you already know that but just in case.
