Honda accord 1997 automatic .car crank but I have to push the gas pedal to keep engine running then remove the gas pedal and engine died''
sooty carbon deposit on spark plugs, fuel pump sound working what can be ?

new spark plugs
new distributor
new plug wires
no code light
air filter new

Could be a bad oxygen sensor not reading the air fuel correctly and pumping too much fuel in. I would first clean out the egr plate. Then check for an exhaust leak using seafoam gently into the brake boost hose while on a cold start high idle. If no white smoke leaking out anywhere from the exhaust manifold to the oxygen sensor I would swap out the upstream oxygen sensor.
