Icon6 WOW major trans problem

k my CD5 just did somethin i thought was not gona happen for a while longer well i was coming home from dropin off a homie at work an i was 5 mins away from home when my trans went from 4th gear to 2nd gear so i thought it was the solenoids so i clean them an no so i did a trans flush it needed it an still nothin so im stuck on what to do cuold it be the trans computer or somethin else any help will do

Mine did this.

I didnt really care though because I changed it to manual.

Its a common problem for mid90s low 00s auto hondas.

0ver 175xxx on the tranny i think yea it has over that much. k balwin yea i know manual is better but family frist then my CD5 so i guess it a problem i cant fix for know cuz if i cant fix it i got to let it go an i really dont want to so any info will help

The AT has two shaft speed sensors, and the speedometer sensor. If either becomes contaminated with ferrous particles(they are magnets) it may send an erroneous speed signal to the TCU and it may command an up or down shift.

I would start by doing a fluid change and checking to see if the TCU is throwing any codes.

Also do what MAD_MIKE said and clean the sensors.

k i clean the sensors. how do i check the tcu i know how to check the ecu so how do i do the trans computer

What year is your accord?


Umm.. do you have a check engine light?

its a 94 an no check engine light

Not an expert here by any means, but maybe check the throttle control cable to the transmission? I just replaced mine and after adjusting it this made a huge difference in the shifting.
