Rusted bolts fuel pump

Rusted bolts fuel pump
I bought a '98 with 220k and looks like it's running on the original fuel pump. I'd like to replace the pump before I give the car to my son. I pulled the cover off and found the bolts so badly rusted they just crumble in my fingers. Any ideas as to how to replace the pump without destroying the fuel tank bolts? I'm about to take the car on a long trip to deliver the car and if I don't replace the pump I'm wondering if the pump fails on the highway in the middle of nowhere can the pump be replaced or would I need a new tank as well?

I would just swap out the tank and the pump just to be safe. And get some new bolts from Honda.

What you need to do is first be prepared have another car to drive for a while. Usually fire is what u use to free bolts but obviously gasoline is dangerous so you cant do that. You have to try to take off all the bolts and be prepared to have them break off. Once the heads are off you cane take off the top plate and try to get channel locks to grip them to twist it off. Have a garden water hose handy in case u have a fire. If u cant get the bolts out try a bolt extractor like he said but be prepared to have to replace the whole tank which will really suck. There is no other way to magically make rusted bolt like new, just assume youll fail, but u have to try

Soak the bolts in Kroil or Liquid wrench for a few days. Use the appropriate sized socket/bit, place it on the fastener and then tap them before attempting to remove.
I wouldn't apply heat.
