Replaced Blower and resistor but not blowing hard enough.
I just replaced the AC blower motor and resistor and the fan speeds sound fine but it's not moving much air out of the vents. This car does not have a cabin air filter and there was very little debris in the blower box when I disassembled it. The Inside/Outside air door does operate properly and the vent controls move what little air flow there is to the correct vents (IE Defrost, Floor, Dash). I just thought before I rip it all apart again, I should ask what I should look for specifically as it moved plenty of air before the motor went bad.
Thanks in advance!!

The thing is, with the exception of an errant business card, the blower box was empty of debris. I guess I should have done a better job inspecting the evaporator but honestly, I can't think of anything else that would be blocking air flow. The Heater core/AC evap door has been problematic for some time but I guess I have no choice but to tear it all down again.... f'k me.......

UPDATE: I took the blower box out and checked the evaporator coil and it is clean! Now I am at a complete loss to understand why air flow is diminished....
Any other ideas?????

strange, when it's on high speed how much air does it blow? you said the evaporator box is clear? usually crap goes through the blower and ends up in the evaporator box.

Re: Replaced Blower and resistor but not blowing hard enough.
Upon closer inspection there was a small amount of debris along the bottom and the side closest to the cabin (opposite the firewall) I cleaned that out and ran a shop vac gently across the coils (I was a H/VAC tech so I know not to damage the coils) but I really didn't hear any debris going down the vac pipe and they weren't really that visibly clogged to the extent that I've seen evap coils get. As a matter of fact, they were surprisingly clean and so was the blower box. What in the heck am I missing here???? How can I deep clean the coils without discharging the system and taking the evap out of the car?
Something else is going on and I need some suggestions as to what else to look for other than the painfully obvious. Not trying to be a d_ck, just frustrated....

Air in through the cowl is the right direction. I checked the blower output before I reassembled the first time.
I saturated the evaporator with cleaner degreaser (because I didn't have any coil cleaner), reassembled it and started the ac with blower on high and ran it for over an hour to 'wet up' the evap and mix with the cleaner. There was a slight improvement in air flow but this thing should be lowing my hair back and it's not. Killin' me.....

Re: Replaced Blower and resistor but not blowing hard enough.
OK.... Resolved.... Just so no one will say that I am not willing to admit when I am a complete dumb_ss: Yes the blower power was reversed. I did not know that a centrifugal fan will still blow the correct way when spinning in reverse. It's just a much lower output.
On the positive side:
1) I can remove and install a 90 Accord blower assembly in about an hour now.
2) My evaporator is SPARKLIN' CLEAN!
3)No more sweltering in the hot August Georgia sun.....

Re: Replaced Blower and resistor but not blowing hard enough.
The wiring being switched is somewhat common, especially with aftermarket blower motors that come with bare wires.
Good to hear it was resolved.

Guys,
Resurrecting an old thread here,as I ended up in a similar situation.
I noted the fix (reversed the power to the motor) but how exactly is this done ?
Cheers.

Most aftermarket blower motors come with two "bare" wires coming off the motor. You have to "splice" those to the factory wire harness...just switch which factory wire is connected to the blower motor wire(s).
