Default Newbie with a Accord problem...

93 Accord EX, 2.2, all stock. The car stalled a couple times last night, but would restart and go with no trouble. After I got home last night I went out and started it, it ran for about 45 seconds and then stalled. Started it again, same thing. This morning it started, and when I put it in reverse it stalled and would not restart. Decided to look at the dist. cap, and found greenish corrosion in the coil wire tower on the cap. Nowhere else though, just where the coil wire plugs into the cap and that end of the coil wire. Rest of the cap looked good, minor tracing on the inside, rotor looks fine, plug wires good. (fairly new in fact) Plugs look great, nice burn. Got it inside the garage (by pushing it) and it would start and immediately stop running. Replaced the dist. cap, same thing. Crappy Haynes manual says possible coil, so replaced the coil. Same thing, starts and dies right away. Now I'm stuck. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, I don't know much about Honda cars.

Thanks..

Nope, it's getting fuel. If I pull the coil wire from the dist. it will spark for a second or two when cranking, then stop. It's definitely spark related.

I looked all over for the main relay, thought I had it but it turned out to be the turn signal relay, hehe.. I know this much, ya gotta have really small hands to dig around up under that dash, it's a nightmare. I unplugged things and listened for the fuel pump, I don't think I ever located the main relay. Funny thing is, it started the next day and ran real good, better than ever, but it wouldn't start the day before after replacing coil and distributor cap & coil wire. I did have the battery charger on it for several hours though, since we ran it down cranking it. So either the new parts/battery charge took care of it, or I jostled something under the dash and made it work. I guess I'll find out one way or the other over time.

Give me the two wheeled Hondas anyday, those I can work on. Except they almost never need it..

Thanks!
