Alignment
Sorry for the noob question but today I hit a pothole and now my alignment is off. The steering wheel yanks to the left when I accelerate, when I turn left the tire rubs, and also when I brake the left tire rubs. I know I need an alignment but do you think something is bent?

Re: Alignment (accord-pro)
I had the alignment done today and it still was yanking to the left. I jacked the car up and looked and i saw that my radius rod was broken. Im hoping this is the only thing thats broken. Is it hard to replace the radius rod?

No, not really, all you have to do is make sure you unload the suspension by placing a hydraulic jack under the knuckle and lifting it up.

Re: Alignment (YeuEmMaiMai)
I hope you didnt pay for that alignment!!! Whoever done that, should of checked the suspention first before doing it. Our shop always does that. And if there is somekind of problem we will notify the customer and wont do the alignment, unless they fix the problem first.

Yeah, the guy that was doing it seemed like he was out of it.hahaha. it was a sunday. Hopefully this time they will do a good job. The alignment was done at Scher tires if you are wondering.

Yeah i checked for bent parts everything seemed straight. The guy that did the alignment said that my rack and pinion boot is torn. How do I replace that? I also need to change my brake pads and rotor. Should I do this first then get it another alignment?

Re: Alignment (pinkspider)
you can do all of that yourself if you want. You remove tie rod end and you can slide the new boot on over the end and clamp it into place.

Re: Alignment (pinkspider)
do the p/s rack boot before the alignment,, cause you got to remove the outer tie rod end , and that's where the toe adjustment is .. brakes and rotors you can do later if you like ..
if you do replace the boot, make sure to coult the turns when you unscrew the outer tie rod end and put it back to same amount of turns when reinstalling
