j30a4 swaps into 98-02 accords?

j30a4 = the engine from 03+ accords v6 (240hp+)
I was reading someone that it fits perfectly with not much customization. That would be really nice....
i like the style of 98-02...coupes the best...nsx tail lights baby!

I dont know anyone that's done it, but since it's the same family of engine with the same displacement, I couldnt see why it wouldnt...but dont go get an engine cause I said so...

I dont know if it's the same with the 7th gens but the 6th gen engine bay is different between the 4 and 6 cylinder, it would be a lot of work.
The only thing I can think of being different is wiring. I dunno if those engines are drive by wire or have higher emissions standards, you'd have to rewire the ECU and speedometer I believe.

well i'm not sure how accurate this site is but:
http://www.hondahookup.com/engine_swaps.php
Sounds to me that they are a perfect fit.
If it wasn't they would have said something about a custom kit etc....
so what do you guys think? That'd be pretty sweet

i would not trust the site that can't even get the generation year right, the shotgun approach had failed to convince me

Re: j30a4 swaps into 98-02 accords? (pauls-ex)
be careful about the engine choice. the 03-05 models have 4 speed automatics, while the 06 models have 5 speed automatics with drive-by-wire electronic throttle system and also grade logic control, so the wiring might be a little difficult...unless you are getting a 5 speed, then you should have no problem. but, i would still get an 03-05 model and 98-02 model and compare them side-by-side to be 100% sure.
