Default Intermittent shaking

Hello all, I have a 1992 Accord wagon, 199,000 on the clock. Sometimes after driving 10 miles. The car will start shaking. Shaking seems to be getting worse. Take your foot off the gas shaking seems to go away, give it more gas it gets a little better. Try to hold your speed steady and it almost feels like tire is down. Not sure when the timing belt was done. Looking into that. Have replaced motor mounts and had the transmission looked at. Had a lockup problem that turn out to be the thermostat. So I'm thinking that the transmission is okay. Really scratching my head on this one.

Timing belt was done at 178k, And oddly to me rings and bearings were done soon after the belt. Yes this car is new to me had it about 6 months. forgot to mention notice at highway speeds.

In trying to give as much info as possible I left out ... it seem to be motor related. It can be felt in steering, but not shaking the wheel. What is stumping me is the intermittent part.I am wondering about fuel injectors. Might pull plugs to see what is there.

If the car is shaking/bucking at cruise speeds it might be the EGR port is clogged and you are feeling part throttle lean misfire.
Disconnect the EGR valve lift sensor(electrical) or the vacuum hose. CEL will come on for the lift sensor, but if the car runs fine in cruise mode it is most likely that the EGR ports in the intake are plugged.

Transmission behavior is greatly affected by engine running condition.

As said the mounts were changed, it shook much worse with the old mounts. MAD_MIKE had it right I unplugged the EGR and no shaking!! Reconnected and had a minor flare up... Now to figure out the repair needed. Thanks!
