Default Intake isnt sucking on my ACCORD

I was driving this morning and noticed my car feels like it has power loss. So I did some examinations and realized my cold air intake isnt engaging/sucking air when I press the throttle. Could this be a IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE (IACV) issues or something within the intake manifold?? thanks for the help.

Have you tried cleaning or even replaceing the filter?

I don't even know what to say to this.

Your intake is engaging/sucking just fine.

But it doesn't hurt to have a clean filter.

Im a honda enthusiast, I know how to work on these bitches pretty well. Just got a lil issue I dont understand. Common sense problems like a clean air filter are not whats wrong. Like I said the intake is not sucking air. I think the butterfly might be stuck or something like that on the intake manifold. No check engine lights on either.

Nope everything with the throttle cable adjusted fine. The gas works just fine when I drive but the car barely gets up cause the AIR FLOW is WEAK.

HAHA no. Idles fine, throttle response is fine, starts up fine. Somethin is sticking or clogging something in my air system Past the cold air intake.

Have you tried running the engine without the cold air intake installed?

If your throttle response is good then your intake is sucking air. Sounds like you may have a fuel, spark or exhaust issue. Need more info to pinpoint the problem though.

Under what driving conditions do you notice the power loss?

I should probably clarify that it is obviously sucking a very small amount of air or else it would die but its NOT OPENING up like it should.

Are you saying that your throttle body isn't opening like it should?

With the car not running, remove your intake tube and do a visual inspection of the throttle body plate in operation. Give it a few twists and let it snap closed. It should open and close smoothly without any resistance. Also check to make sure that your throttle cable is operating correctly.

Yes I believe it could be the throttle body, ill check it out. My throttle response is fine and car revs fine. I tested it with the clutch in and manually working the throttle under the hood! DO you think the AICV could have anything to do with it??

those valves control idle and cant prevent your car from taking in air...only things that can physically prevent it are the throttle body not opening up right or you have a severe pressure problem....any oil in the intake piping?...very much long shot but check the pcv valve just incase

O/P as a self proclaimed pro what was your first trouble shooting step? If you don't say run the car with the intake removed (or at least within the first couple steps) then you may want to continue your home Honda schooling....

Wow, kiddo. You're a moron. As stated above, if you didn't remove the "problem" first and run the car without it, then you're not troubleshooting. You're just wasting our time.
