If you need spare keys made, price shop
I am down to two keys for my ’99 Accord so I called a five Honda dealerships to see what the prices to have two more spares would be. The price per key ranged from $25 to $85.
Dealership 1: $25 each, $50 total
Dealerships 2 and 3: $28 each, $56 total
Dealership 4: $40 each, $80 total
Dealership 5: $40 each plus $45 labor, $125
Dealership 5 was actually the dealership where I bought my car back in October ’98, the closest competitor to them is 50 miles away so I guess they figure they have a captive audience. Dealership 1 happens to be the one I drive by on a daily basis, that's where I'll be going of course.
Anyway, the point is that if you need a spare key made, the prices are not standardized and will vary from dealership to dealership.
