Idle Air Control System or TPS Sensor?

Guys-

My car started acting up after i installed a junkyard IAC thingy. I thought since my car idles from 1000-2000 rpms, it might have been a bad IAC. So me and my guy went to a junkyard and pulled one off. Since the new replacement, without a gasket, my car throws a CEL. It reads 7 then a long light then 7 again. Is this 14? Or 7? I replaced my TPS sensor too (i actually replaced the whole TB). It throws it (CEL) after my speedo doesn't work. When i first drive, and my speedos out, the CEL will come on. But if i start the car and drive, speedo working fine, no check engine light. WTF? Help please

Thanks.

Code 17 = VSS

That bad idle could have been the fast idle thermo control valve. See my post on how to check it in my '97 Accord.

I tried the junkyard IAC thing too. Fortunately, it didn't fukc my car up even more. But it didn't fix my idling problem, either.

thanks for the correct reading. I believe it might be my VSS because of the way its been acting up. Problem is, it'll work fine, then go out all of a sudden... bad connection?
